What cookies and local storage we use
tj_sess — session cookie
Purpose: Keeps you logged in between page loads.
Type: First-party, essential.
Duration: Until you close the browser or log out.
Who can read it: Only TradeJodo's servers.
tj-theme — local storage
Purpose: Remembers your light/dark theme preference.
Type: Local storage (not transmitted to our servers).
Duration: Until you clear site data.
Who can read it: Only your browser, on tradejodo.com.
tj-mode — local storage
Purpose: Remembers whether your theme was auto-set or manually chosen.
Type: Local storage.
Duration: Until you clear site data.
What we do NOT use
- No third-party advertising cookies
- No cross-site tracking pixels
- No Facebook, Google, or Twitter tracking scripts
- No fingerprinting
If we add analytics
If we introduce anonymous analytics in the future, we will disclose it on this page and provide an opt-out. We will prefer a privacy-respecting tool that does not sell data.
Controlling cookies
You can manage cookies in your browser settings. Every major browser lets you:
- Block all cookies (note: this will log you out and prevent login)
- Block third-party cookies (we set none, so this will not affect you)
- Clear cookies and site data after each session
To clear the site's local storage: open your browser's developer tools → Application → Local Storage → delete the two tj-theme and tj-mode keys.
